As ROBOGOR ROBOT and VISION TECHNOLOGIES RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT INDUSTRY and TRADE LIMITED COMPANY, we continue to carry out our work with regard to the Protection of Personal Data, which we attach great importance to since the day we were founded, with an approach in line with the “Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)”. In this context, information about both some terms expressed in the law and our data processing processes to fulfill our obligations are presented below.

What is PDPL?

The law on the protection of personal data (PDPL) was adopted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 24.03.2016 and entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette dated 07.04.2016 and numbered 29677. The law is based on the compliance of all data processing persons and institutions within the framework of basic purposes such as ensuring the confidentiality of personal data, protecting it and preventing its unauthorized use. Our company, like all organizations, is obliged to comply with this law and the personal data processed in all processes of our company is covered by this.

What Is Personal Data?

All data or data sets that make a person directly or indirectly identifiable are considered personal data. An example is identifying information that belongs directly to the person or is created on behalf of the person, such as name, last name, place/date of birth, phone number, resume, photo, voice recording. This data is treated as personal data.

What Is Data Processing?

Any operation performed on personal data is considered as “data processing”. Thus, archiving, storing, changing, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, analyzing and classifying data are within the scope of data processing.

Who Is The Contact / Data Owner?

One of the phrases frequently mentioned in the law and in our corporate policies is “contact person” or “data owner”. Refers to natural persons whose personal data is processed.

Who Is The Data Controller?

The data officer is a natural or legal person who determines the purposes and methods of processing personal data and is responsible for the establishment and management of the data recording system. At this point, our company is responsible for the data of our customers, visitors and employees.

Who Is The Data Processor?

Data processors are individuals or legal entities that process data on behalf of the data controller. These persons may also be a separate natural or legal person authorized by the data controller to process personal data.

Data Processing Requirements

All data controllers have the right to process data only when the following conditions occur or when the person concerned gives explicit consent:

  • Clearly stipulated in the law
  • Being directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract,
  • Fulfilling the legal obligation of the data controller,
  • The person concerned has been made public by himself,
  • Data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right,
  • Legitimate interest of the data controller.

Fulfilling Data Owner Requests

PDPL gives the relevant persons the right to make a request regarding which personal data are processed in which processes and the current status of these data. As ROBOGÖR, we are also obliged to respond to requests from data owners within 30 days. Pursuant to Article 13 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, which regulates the “Application to the Data Controller”, the data subject/data owner must submit their requests regarding the implementation of the Law to the data controller in writing. For this reason, you can contact us at info@robogor.com  so that your request can be evaluated. Institutions and persons who are data controllers or process data are obliged by PDPL to inform the data owners about the personal data they process.
